I recently installed Wordpress onto my site and created a new page. Now when I try to upload a featured image to the post It says file could not be uploaded. Even after I uploaded it to the ftp there still is no image in the media library. Is there somthing going on with my host or is it just wordpress?

in order to see it on the media libaray, wordpress needs to upload it. Now just chmod wp-conent and uploads to 777 and you should be just fine
