I have exported a Wordpress database from Zymic, and i want to import it into another web host,
because when Zymic shut down for maintance, i can still have an alternative website running, rolleyes.gif
but i received the following messages during importing to another web host:

"Script timeout passed, if you want to finish import, please resubmit same file and import will resume. However on last run no data has been parsed, this usually means phpMyAdmin won't be able to finish this import unless you increase php time limits." hunter.gif

so what's the problem?
is there something i need to do before the import?
is there any alternative way to import?

please kindly answer. smile.gif

its saying that it might of not imported all of the .sql file on to the other database so you should talk to the other hosting support team about it

Is your sql file really big?

In the past, when I have had to import massive files, I have had a good deal of success with BigDump.

I'm not sure if this is your problem, but it's a great utility and well worth knowing about wink.gif

you mean phpMyAdmin?
actually, i'm a user, not a professional i.t. guy,
i just wanna backup my database and export to other hostings,
any simple tutorial for BigDump? ohmy.gif

Well, exporting via phpMyAdmin is usually not a problem. Although I do recall that BigDump doesn't like extended inserts.

As far as tutorials go - they really aren't necessary. Just install BigDump on your server and point it at your textfile.sql

It has a GUI and it's quite straightforward. smile.gif
