this is my first website... ever

Please review and tell me what you think, any comments or suggestions welcome

Just a bit about the site:

I'm starting a LAN-community in the city where I live, so this is basically the website for the community.

Thanx alot.

Nice one! you do know that now you've started, you wont stop updating/perfecting it. it's a never ending process, the more you learn the more you want to implement it onto your site.

very nice and yes it is a never ending process

For a first template i guess its not bad. But its not perfect.

Suggestions :

Home page, your logo has a blue rectangle around which is an image link, you should set the border to 0 so there is no borders.

Colors : some light green, some black for the fonts and some light weird blue, and too much white. I suggest you to put something around all that blank area.

Feeling : i personaly feel like everything goes a way and other things go an other way, well its floating around, i think you should set some areas where stuff sticks to it, and not just "move around" if you know what i mean.

I also suggest using darker colors if its a LAN gaming community, also something even darker if you are going to play UT 3 biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Good Luck

It's not bad for your first, I still remember my first.

It's really open. Close it up a bit with some tables, and borders. Make a main content area where you write and stuff. Then make another area for your links. Add in maybe some different background colors and just spice it up. Keep it going, your off to a start!

Thanx everyone

MrTouz, I thank you for your advice. I am working on a "darker" version of the site as well, I just uploaded those files too see if it works. The "darker" site should be up soon. smile.gif

My Site has moved to www.conlan.zzl.org due to zxq.net being offline. Please review again and tell me what you think. I made it much darker.

Thanx
Piyo
Nice work for your first website.

Suggestions:
- Light green on black is not good, I hurt my eyes a bit.
- There are still black borders on some of the buttons.
- Make a more differentiable (sorry wrong spelling) section of sidebar (navigation), header (banner), content, and footer.
