This is the link to my website I recently built and hosted with zymic. It's not quite finished but what do you think of it. I am looking for comments and suggestions. Are there things you would do different, suggestions to make it better. Anything. Take a look and thank you!

    • The good
  • When you first arrive, it's like "WHOA! PRETTY! I want to be there!"
  • The photos are beautiful... I LOVE the birds, and the car one...
  • The gallery script is niiice. I've never seen Porta before. I'm gonna check it out.
  • Oh, I like the footer navigation that you have on your gallery. Have you tried seeing how that looks for the rest of the site?
    • The bad
  • When you're on portfolio.html, the link to portfolio dissapears, but it doesn't happen on any other page.
  • And blocking right-click might stop a few people from saving the images, but it doesn't protect that well... I'd recommend putting a signature or something on the front-page image and allowing right-click. I often use right-click for forward/back navigation and I consider it bad practice when it's blocked.
    • The suggestions
  • The links are maybe just a tiny bit too simplistic. Maybe a different grey on mouseover/visited.
  • Possibly make the current "Home" just the index, and click the image to enter, then have news on the "front page" or something. Seems weird to have news so seperated, but the nice image when you enter looks really good, too... *shrug*
  • A minor thing I didn't like is there's an extra click when you enter the gallery for the description... There is possibly room for it on the top-left corner with all the images. (Unless Porta makes it hard/not possible to edit the pages?)
  • Possibly darken the border of the image on the index a bit. The light grey border grabs your attention more than the image.

Don't be sorry, I agree with everything said there!

I especially think the footer from the gallery should be along the whole website. It wouldn't be that hard to recreate (since its in flash on the albums page) but I think you should get something like that along every page of the site.

I like it Everyone els got the right idea ^^ (above)

Looks nice. Your portfolio definately impresses. I would suggest losing the news section. There really isn't much going on there and it detracts from the simple elegance of the flow of the site. The portfolio breaks the site's layout. Is it possible to keep the logo and links and also have the flash portfolio?
