I am goin to do my best to explain this if i am unclear or you have question about what i just said please ask. First off i must tell you i am just learning php and so nothing big is going up on my site yet but stuff should be comming soon. Now on to the problem.

ok so i uploaded my file index.php which contains the following text.
<?php
echo "Hello Web";
?>

Now when i click the file a new window comes up that says "Hello Web" just as it should. How do i get my files to show up on my subdomain that i set up? When i go to it i get an error. Any help is appriciated.

Thanks

i did get it to work so never mind about the first part but i have a new question. This might be a coding question idk.

as i was saying i am new to this whole thing. why is the forward slash (\) not a valid character in a file? I am reading a book and tryig to teach myself and it calls for a forward slash when creating a table.

thanks for any help.

What you typed up there (\) is called a backslash

And sorry I don't have the answer, but to help you on the first post, you had to have an index.html file.
