Hi all, I've got a regular .com domain registered through godaddy and wish to use it for my free hosting account here, which from what I've read, is supposed to be possible. For the domain, I've set the nameservers to NS1.ZXQ.NET and NS2.ZXQ.NET, and when I do DNS lookup now, it resolves to the IP address 74.86.20.181.

However, when I go into my "account settings" for my hosting account, and set the domain to my .com address, my website doesn't load. Instead I get a 404 "page not found" error that originates from http://www.hosting.zymic.com/404.jsp. Am I doing something wrong? Or is there something broken? Every time I go into my account settings again, the "custom .com domain name" field is reset back to myhostingaccount.zxq.net.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post my domain name or address here... but I'd be happy to if it helps any. Thanks in advance.

[edit] Err... yeah. After reading the stickies, it seems that you're supposed to post your website address. The domain that I'm currently trying to add is tuxation.com and the address which the account was registered under (and still works) is http://tuxation.zxq.net.

Either way, when i saw you're edit I thought you found your answer. If you search a little harder you'll notice ALOT of topics like yours, all because the feature is broken right now. Some issues they were having with the control panel or something

I thought it had gotten resolved by now. Oh well, thanks for the response.

As far as I know, its still broken, but someone just posted a new topic about how to do it, so maybe it has been resolved (even though I tried with everydns about a week ago...)
