I'm having trouble deleting certain files and folder via FTP--FireFTP in Firefox--and even the web manager. In the web manager, I'll go and hit delete, the page will refresh, and nothing will have been deleted. Via FTP I'll hit delete and get a 550 error message.
I'm trying to delete the wordpress music player plugin. Specifically, /wordpress/wp-music and /wordpress/wp-content/wp-music. The only possible thing that I know of that may be stopping me is an unintentionally uploaded .htaccess file. I know someone's said they don't work via Zymic but there is nothing else different from any other folder. (Also, I cannot see the .htaccess files via ftp, only via the web manager.)
Can anyone help me?
You'll need to enable hidden files to see it in ftp.
But you can always delete it from web manager.

I do have show hidden files enabled but they still do not show up in FTP and I cannot delete the .htaccess file from the web manager. I'll click delete, the page will reload, and it will still be there.

I was with this problem too. I tried delete some files using File Manager and it get an error, so I connected to FTP server (KenFTP) and deleted files without problem.
Try again! xD

Yup, I've tried via a Firefox Extension--FireFTP--and a stand-alone program, smartFTP. Neither can delete the folders.
