Hello all, I'm New (Not Sure This is In The Right Area But I'll Try, If It is in The Wrong Area, I'm Sorry)

I was wondering if it could be possible to sort of link 2 user databases into one

Like if you had 2 things on your site where people would need to register, Example Maybe 2 Forums.
I Know it'd Be A Bit Stupid To Have 2 forums on one site but It's Just An Example.

But Anyway, If you didn't want to have to deal with 2 user databases, you could just register on one, And then already have an account on the other

It's Kind of Annoying to have to Re-register on the same site some times

So My Question Is, If I Could, How Would I Go About Doing That?

I'm Not Very Good in Coding And All That, But I Can Try, And Any Information That You Can Give Me Will Be Greatly Appreciated.

are those 2 dbs identicals?(do they have the same fields and tables?)
Jack
Its possible, for example we do this on Zymic, your main site login will work on the forums, despite the fact they use different databases. It all boils down to relationships of tables, and without any more detail its hard to tell you what could work, and what won't.

Thank You For The Replies, I Managed To Work Around it

This is The First Time I've Actually Made A Site, And Truthfully I Have No Idea How To Explain it Any Further

But Anyway, Thanks, And Sorry if I Wasted Anyones Time

I've Still Got A Long Way To Go, And Much Much More To Learn smile.gif
