hello, can anyone tell me how to execute command lines, I can't seem to get access to the server and can't find any info on it, using Putty, suggestions, thanx Nate

I don't think zymic hosting gives you telnet access.

the reason I'm looking for SSH and telnet access is in response to the reply on the "what is the cgi-bin folder" post in the forums, which was, if you have command line access you can type "whereis perl", so really the question I guess I should have restated was where is the cgi-bin folder, thanx, Nate

Yeah that is slightly ambiguious, we should move that topic to somewhere more apt. I was writing it in regards to the question.

Simply put : Zymic host does not offer anything but support of php scripts, so there is no cgi-bin as the security ramifications for enabling such a feature are far too expanse and won't be enabled due to such.
