Seeing that there are a lot of posts that are concerning the same thing over and over and people have to address the same issues over and over (get my point yet? or should I go over and over it again?) perhaps it would be wise to force an auto form in a new post in this section. It could be something as simple as this,

CODE
Before you post your support request, please utilize the search function for the keywords that might best fit your support needs.

or it could be even more computard proof and give them an actual form such as this,

Name:
Level of Urgency:                        (Hign, Medium, Low, I'm just being a pain in the ass)
Website Address:                        (end in: clanteam.com, zqx.net, 99k.org)
Type of Site:                              (Forum, Database,...)
Type of Issue:                            (Install/Deletion, Info Request, Error Msg, I have no F'ing idea what I am doing!!!)
Description of Issue:                   (Explain the issue as much as possible, too much information is better than too little)

I think this would cut down of issues being addressed and readdressed over and over. I know its possible, it just depends on if someone would want to put this little bit o' effort in to make the forum more user friendly.

Hi,

We have thought about this too. When a user creates a topic, above the topic subject is a list of rules and "sticky topics", the user has to tick a box to say they have read these rules before posting. Unfortunately we run on Invision Power Board which we did not code ourselves, and so this will require a custom modification.

Here is the code that I came up with for this idea. I know that it isn't much to code, but if you were able to get this submitted to IP Boards as a modification to the forum page it would help a lot.
