Well, that would probably be the best, but I don't got enough knowledge to do that, but there's many free galleries out there, so I just wondered if anyone know about a gallery similar to the picture I posted?

not really if its just you that wants to put in pictures (admin like). its just some php

I'm looking for a gallery with smalls thumbs for a project site. Each picture has a link to it's own project page. Then you can browse through the thumbnails with the right/left arrow. It's no problem to add them manually.

i've seen this on afew websites, and its most likely flash or javascript, or mootools. no php involved...

Not sure if this is excactly what you're asking for, but there are lots of nice templates for pixelpost. Most of them have demos. Of course downloading the code would help you if you wanna learn/code yourself
