Ok, i did a search for this and got just under a page of results, of which i checked all to no avail.

Trying to setup a blog using word press, i got the mysql setup and wordpress is setup to connect to the database i made. The problem occurs when i start the install. It appears to install fine and says, "Wordpress is adding default data to the database". Then it's suppose to print some more stuff to screen such as my wordpress username and password which it fails to do. I know the default username it uses is Admin but the password is random. I tried to retrieve the password but it says "your host may have disabled mail() function" or something along those lines. If anyone knows what i am doing wrong i would appreciate some info biggrin.gif

Btw guys great site and thnx for the free hosting wthout the gash ads and allowing me to put my own ads on the pages, i luv you ^^ ( once i get this working biggrin.gif)

peace out,
Lee.

Haha I was just going to ask you what version it was. Congrats on fixing it sort-of.

huh.gif Well... can you help me out? I am also trying to set up wordpress... I "think" I have the latest version... but I am stuck on the local host thing. what do I put for that? I tried putting 127.0.0.1, leaving localhost..as localhost.. and everything else I could think of.. help please!

just leaving it as localhost should work...it should be able to find the server. make sure to check the version wink.gif
