Okay - I've decided that my template just isn't professional enough (I am a person who likes to change things every so often until it's perfect).. So I've worked up a little half-assed drawing of how I want my site to look.
I'll pay someone if they can do this for me quickly. ALL I WANT IS A .PSD - Just CREATE the image, don't slice it up, ect.
I want there to be rounded corners and PLEASE put "Think Creactive" somewhere along the page near the menu. Do NOT put the "impossible is nothing" - when i chose this I didn't know that it was also the slogan for Adidas ROFL. So that's gotta go. Just put "Think Creactive" and remember its CreaCtive not ceative".
If you can do this for me please let me know.. I want it similar to this:

But, of course, i want it to be glossy and professional looking with rounded corners, ect. (not like a 2 y/o made it like i just did it lol). Also, the colors on the menu circle thing - they need to be light, like the rest of the page (not dark) - The main background color should be lighter than that bg color also but i just worked up a quickie.
I know that a .psd of this could take a maximum of 45 minutes for some people (way back in the day I used to make layouts and though they weren't AMAZING they didnt take me long) so please please please let me know!

Payment will be provided by paypal (or money order if you'd like me to mail you the payment though that cud take a while) within an hour of receiving the .psd layout.
Also - The .psd layout will need to be in a zip file with all the fonts used (if it's not something like arial) and any extra things that don't come with photoshop 7.0 that i'll need to view it properly.
Thanks! (Hoping to have a response within an hour or so)

Hey, received your PM. I'll see what I can do, but if u want to go with the one above, that's fine too

How urgent is it? Cos i don't have actual time to make it now, but I can today. And I know ur feeling, changing till it's perfect, so trust me, it will take longer than 45 minutes

I'll keep a look at this topic to see if anyone has already made anything yet before I did.

Okay I wanted ya'alls opinion on this one - I'm kinda leaning towards it because I really do like the green/white/gray theme going on and it's simple.
Got it from someone on another forums, said they're not done with it but thats wut they have so far.
What ya'all think?

*Sorry for off topic Creactive*
Wozzym, I don't actually know that yet. Since I can't code, and it isn't finished, I can't put a price on it. If you'd actually buy it, you should say what you want e.g. colors, other windows in it and such.
Jetteh22
Apr 20 2008, 06:45 PM
Off topic no problem.
Thanks for the input guys - I'll wait until he finishes with it and make my choice from there I think.
And yes, Wozzym the side bar is for both ads and other infomation

Creactive I like the template you currently have. You just need to fix your fonts and shit. Thats what is making the layout look bad. I think you get rid of the way the links look (ugly imo) and change the colors just a tad and you'd have a good looking site. The banner may not be very professional. But from the looks of the layout this guy is creating you, it looks like he's just recreating what you already have reversed with slightly different images. Just change the font color to white on your current layout, and make the links look better and you have a decent looking layout.
BTW I don't know if it's just me, but the lunarpages ad on the right (skyscraper ad) is overlapping the content. Some pages worse than others.
I'm using Firefox on Ubuntu linux if that helps you troubleshoot.
Jetteh22
Apr 21 2008, 03:22 AM
I'm taking that banner off I was just trying to experiment with something and havn't been buggered to take it off yet lol, but yeah depending on the window size, it might overlap the page which is why I am takin it off.

And also - I think I'm going to do what Trippin said and go ahead and try to just Revamp my current layout. I think wozzym said not every page has to be "professional" and that's true. Think I'm gonna try that out.

Well I also think that the key to a good website is consistency. Your site has that now. Every page has the same navigation on it, and the same colors, and everything is placed in the same spot.
What I'm getting at, is if you change something you probably should change it for every page.
Also I like the idea of the bar at the top of your site, but two things to change. Get rid of the bars at the beginning and end of each link. And also, some kind of contrasting background or border or something to differentiate that bar from the rest of your site. As it is now, it looks like some lost kid of something.
Hope I'm not being too critique-y :-D Your local to me tho so I HAVE to pick on ya!

Not at all.
I'm working on re-vamping the site now. I've decided I don't want it to be centered anymore as that causes problems with width consistency for some reason (not that great with CSS.. I'm better at everything else than I am at CSS) so I'm putting everything BACK into divs and putting it on the left side of the page. Using divs instead of tables also helps in my search results (it doesnt only show my menu in the search results, it'll show actual page content).
I took out the skyscraper ad, and put the ads at the bottom of the main page (my banner exchange, I took out the google ads).
I'm going to put the bar at the very top of the site, with the search that will have the main links (basically the same thing it is now, but it will look better).
I'm also going to organize my site better - The home page will be JUST the home page, overview of the entire site with highlights of a featured service, ect. - Contact us will NOT be contact us / faq anymore - It will just be a simple email form where people can email me and I can respond via email... I've decided that with each new version of the chat, I'm going to just -replace- the old ones (anybody who has the old one already will be able to continue using it, though nobody else will be able to get the old one).. So now it'll just have one Creactive Chat link, which will go straight to version two.
And i'm going to make my damn menu better.
You can keep track of it at
http://www.creactiveonline.com/test2.php - test 1 was the layout that person made me that i decided to put into action.

Apr 21 2008, 08:15 AM
Well - If you found someone who wants to buy it then I would say go ahead and sell it.
But don't get rid of it because I am feeling a bit lazy at the moment so I might just end up getting yours cause I've decided yours is the best out of the ones I've seen so far.
Liqfan
Apr 21 2008, 08:53 AM
Nobody want's to buy it as far as I know, and it isn't finished, because I need feedback on what you want changed. I'll probably give away free is someone codes it I think, since it's not that great.

Maybe just put in a basic banner and release it on a site: For example, ClanTemplates.com
Gimme a shout if you change your mind about the coding. He might not definetaly do it, But I don't mind asking.

Apr 22 2008, 04:41 AM
the banner on the new one appears pixely for me. and yes i did say that. not everything has to be 100% professional looking. For this type of website, a more interesting theme/fun one can do just as well. Sometimes creating a professional looking one will just make it look like all other sites.
Jetteh22
Apr 22 2008, 08:13 AM
And you're opinion has influenced my work thus far.
http://www.creactiveonline.com/test2.php - That's what I've decided to do with the menu, as of now.. Better or worse?

Apr 23 2008, 07:44 AM
LoL! Sorry - Just was a test I wasn't going to actually use that picture forever.
But I've decided this is the layout I'm going to go with:
http://www.creactiveonline.com/test3.php - It's simple and It will give me what I want and it is by far the easiest to edit (I made it myself so it's ALL css/divs and shit..
I'll probably just keep that one forever so I can finally get to working on chat V3.

Apr 23 2008, 01:29 PM
ya i think just center the main area beneath the navigation bar and it should look good.
Andrew
Apr 23 2008, 09:06 PM
Yea you do need to center it. It looks stupid not centered.
Jetteh22
Apr 23 2008, 10:51 PM
It is centered, I'm not sure what you mean (I checked it in both IE and FF, and it's centered in both)
What browser do you use?
Andrew
Apr 23 2008, 11:00 PM
Firefox 2.0.0.14 heres a screen shot of it
http://img206.imageshack.us/img206/6382/37925073sj0.pngI just checked opera and it looks the same.
I hope you realize we are talking about the white content box, under the heading and menu.

doesnt work for safari either.
Jetteh22
Apr 24 2008, 06:14 AM
Okay it's fixed. Weird how a simple CSS "text-align" doesnt work in a couple of browses the way I have the page designed.
I just added a <center> tag and now It work's perfectly fine lol.
Andrew
Apr 24 2008, 06:21 AM
If you want it to work with css, the code is margin:0 align:auto
Here is an example, and the fix for IE5 if you really want it.
http://www.bluerobot.com/web/css/center1.html
Jetteh22
Apr 24 2008, 06:36 AM
Nope, lol - It's alot easier to just use "<center>" i only have to add it in one page (the header page) and the rest handles itself but thanks
wozzym
Apr 24 2008, 01:43 PM
still not working...
