Still failed using Core FTP lol.. Im not sure what im doing wrong..


nevermind, I was putting in my account name for the site as the user .. lol .. duh..

Is it supposed to take thousands of years to upload one .htm file size 15 275 ?

I only get:

"Anslutningen stängdes av servern"
I have the swedish version of fileZilla, but I think it means "Connection closed by the server".

I have a pretty fast broadband connection, so WHY is it so frustratingly SLOW!!? huh.gif

Im not having much luck with FTP since the file manager is down

I downloaded FileZilla and thats about as far as i got.

can anyone give me some pointers...

The only thing I can think of is that you're at school/work and your network doesn't allow ftp connections.

try leaving the port field empty and connect

dragonofra3 - Yes you can connect to Zymic through Dreamweaver. Dreamweaver has a built-in FTP that you can use. All information should be the same. Also make sure you don't use the coldfusion feature that is built into Dreamweaver.

jakeselectronics - Do as lawny said. FileZilla has a built in feature that will find the best suited port automatically when you connect to a server. However, due to recent banning of certain permissions on school/work premises (like swordz had stated), you cannot use FTP.

hey i am still new to this ftp thing...i uploaded some of my web page using ftp client....so now i need to present my web page in my university..so how do i present them?? how to access to my FTP folder using internet browser??

I'm using dreamweaver. My site connected, but when I tried to "put" it, I got error code 403 Forbidden. Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?

Hi webmasters, i'm new with zymic and just started uploading my site. I have had a hard time looking up a topic similar to the issue im having so im just gonna ask anyways. Please point me to the right direction.

Question is, how can I set my own index.htm as the main page? I erased the default index.html then after uploading my own index, http://rastaman69.uuuq.com gives me 404-Page not Found.

btw, I am using Filezilla from the recent post in this thread and it really is a breeze.

Filezilla is perfect for FTP. It's really easy to use.That was what we used during our thesis.Thanks for the following tutorial.

Hi thanks for the guide was a great help just having one problem i am trying to upload a troop tool for a game i play it uploads fine but dont seem to link to the site have tryd taking the index file in and out and it go's on and off so i know i must be doing it right the file is a GZ file so dont know if this is the problem http://laffers.net/works/trooptool.php that is what i am trying to host any help would be great

Filezilla is an app, so you need to download and install it.

I used SmartFTP and could not connect.
I then tried Ipswitch WS_FTP and worked perfectly.

This is because the SmartFTP INSISTS you add the "ftp." at the beginning of your uuuq.com address, whereas WS_FTP doesn't.

Strange, but it works!
