Please review http://www.UrURL.us - newest service by thinkcreactive.com / creactiveonline.com (in process of transferring every service to it's own domain name).

Looking for reviews on how easy it is to find waht you neeed ( i know only a few pages on the site but I did that on purpose) and if things make sense, review layout ect. Thanks biggrin.gif

for some reason the text just seems a little close together. Id think about changing the font and/or the spacing.
Jetteh22
Thanks for the input i'll check in on that biggrin.gif
Andrew
Check the css files, there is a way to "kern" your text. I just don't remember what the css style is called for it.

**edit**

Check your css file or the html for letter-spacing and if it's set to a negative number (and you decide you don't like it,) change it one less of a negative number or put it back to 0 or delete it completely.

edit again

It is letter-spacing in your css, but its being set with em instead of px and I don't know anything about em
So good luck!

How does it look now??
wozzym
navigation looks better, but the button that says navigation, the actual text is too far to the bottom. Try another text with the body.
Jetteh22
okay fixed that. keep em coming tongue.gif
wozzym
too big of a spacing between the title (ururl.us) and the arrows with 1)choose file, e.t.c.

OK Meanie McMeanerson

LOL

I dont got photoshop here at work so i'll need to do that tonight when I'm home.
wozzym
you told me to keep them coming!
Andrew
Even though your trying to get the point across I suggest take at least one letter out of the "long url" "http://www.thissite.com/asdfasd/adfas/asdf?asdf=thisandthat" because it just slightly over laps onto the background (leaves the content area)

And maybe make it a more believeable url, like
"http://www.thissite.com/your/long/website?page=thisandthat"

Maybe not those words exactly but that IS one or two characters shorter.

haha I just keep editing this, now I found that on the URL redirection on the main page, where it describes what it is, it links to the file uploader and not the url redirection page.

and another, I think that you should if you can make the double arrow thing in the top left corner be centered like on the think creactive website.

Also a suggestion, I don't know if you would even be able to do it, but so you don't have a ton of say form mail scripts, or whatever other scripts, give users the option to sign up and when they create a new service, have it saved in their profile, so that they can retrieve the code and not have to make a new one. If the services get popular then you will end up with a TON of unused ones, and some that LOOK like they are unused, so there wouldn't be a way for you to delete any of them without causing some users problems. Granted this may be something to think about in the future, and maybe even have a time limit say if the script goes unused for more than 30 days then it can be automatically deleted. And they can get around that by creating an account.

Thanks for the input

Sorry, it looked fine on IE..

OH! And whoever told me about LunarPages is my best friend... They're absolutely the best host I've ever had in my entire life and for the price (4.95 a month cause i paid for 2 years up front) I am EXTREMELY happy

( I just installed my own webmail client so that I can check my thinkcreactive.com email from anywhere )

It's the most customizable I've ever had!
Andrew
I edited my post a couple times make sure you re-read it. :-D

Okay - I just read your information and yes I am going to center the UrURL.com arrow image thing like the new one. I meant to do that already but I forgot to.

I edited both the demo URL and the actual URL that went to the wrong page (damn copy and paste hahaha). Thanks so much for your advice by the way.

I pretty much want to make the services easy to use without signup. So I figure the way I'm going to do it is on the chat box / shout box program, and form emailer program - If it's not used for more than 30 days it will automatically be deleted. It won't be such a horrible thing considering it only takes 2 seconds.

I'd rather do it that way, than have it go "if you sign up we wont delete it" because alot of people might sign up and then STILL not use it (ya know what I mean?)

So yeah I've thought about that already and it's gonna delete it automatically if they don't use it for more than 30 days. The File re-direction and Image / file hosting will stay forever most likely even if I have to start paying for UrURL.us to have it's own server (right now I'm going to put everything on one server that's 1,500 GB space and 15,000 GB bandwidth, which for both I would find it VERY hard to go higher than that) or I'll just upgrade my account to the business one with unlimited storage.. Cause i know i'd run out of storage space before I'd run out of bandwidth and it'll be a long time before EITHER of those happen.
Andrew
I really doubt you'll run out of storage space before bandwidth, but at least you have a plan!

looking better. but i still agree with my last post wink.gif
