Hi,

I am trying to start a forum using SMF and I am having trouble installing modifications. It keeps saying 'modification parse error' and after searching around the internet i found out that this was due to the fact that php strict mode is turned on.

1)What is it?

2)Why is it on?

3)Can it be turned off?

Safe mode, read the rules, search the forums before posting.

can be turned off in the future for a small fee.
