I use namecheap and I just got an email saying that the price is going up from 8.88 to 9.29 . Was just wondering what other domain name holders there are here and if your price has gone up also. It says that ICANN has raised the prices. Anyways I know ICANN controls all the domains but who controls ICANN some kind of government? Who runs it?

Yeah, luckily prior to that email I'd already renewed all my domains for 2-4 years, not that it's that much of a price difference anyway.

$0.41 (20p) is big? Even if you're registering a domain for five years there's only $2.05 in it. I just find it fairly hard to care that much about the base price of registering domains unless you have loads of them.
I really wouldn't trust idotz.net, mostly because of their shit poor site. I'll stick with namecheap I think.

nope... my domain registrar is and will always remain at: $9.95
Hardly anything to scoff at, still cheaper than most places.

That is the only way I could see it being a big deal to anyone. Still probably wouldn't be much.
