The blue, green and black combo makes me feel dizzy and it's way too much. I would have to rate it about a 3 design wise. The only thing I like about it is that your (X)HTML/CSS design is great. Good coding grammar goes along way!

Carrying over the blue and green combo wasn't the greatest idea, but I have happy to see that you can skin boards for yourself. .

I would suggest a re-design of your website (use [ColourLovers] to see what colours do go together and work well) and then pass that design over to your forums.
You might also want to put a link to the forums in your website.

Sorry if this is too harsh but that's just my opinion. I don't mean to do it in a harsh way, I am trying to help you better yourself and your site.

The coding is actually pretty bad. It is not semantic at all and suffers from divitis.

The design need quite a bit of work in my opinion. It may have worked in 1996 but looks pretty bad by today's standards. Keep trying though, everyone struggles at first.

I won't talk much about your colors?! Whole site looks a little bit like video games from early 80's, but if you like it, its ok...

What missing there is many technical details which are very important for every website to be a "website".
SEO part is missing absolutely, you have not a single inbound link, your pages are not indexed at all (did you even submit site to the search engines?), no META or other tags, text is not aligned well at home page, there's even some cloaking things shows up which could be banned badly from search engines in the future, etc, etc...

Why don't you use some CSS, or JavaScript menu bar, or just ordinary HTML instead this heavy flash sidebar.swf and eventsbar.swf menus. Think, there is still many users with lower speed connection...

Sorry my friend if I am to rude with you, but honestly, there is so many mistakes!

SEO is abbrevation of Search Engine Optimization, which means OPTIMIZE your website to the Search Engine standards, other words, make Search Engine FRIENDLY website. There is hundreds and hundreds of different SEO techniques and approaches. Some says something is more important - something less important and inversely, but more or less its pretty much the same things and rules which matters in SEO.

Submission of website to the search engines is really easy thing to do. Search engine is a powerful and sophisticated tool which crawls your website, saving it to its memory, so that can be provided to other users as a search result when the request something similar to the content of your website... Search engines can do such a thing even without your request, but it can take a lot of time. That's why is good to submit a website by your self. From my experience Google search engine will crawl your website in couple of days after submission.

HTML Tags are indebted for correctness of the HTML document, which is happen to be a web page. They are also basic guide for search engines to read web page correctly... So, use HTML Tags as much as you can to make your website more search engine friendly.
There is about hundred of all HTML Tags, more important are; Document Tag, Title Tag, and Meta Tags... It is also a big story and I can't tell you that here... Check this out!

Cloaking things are various activities in web design which causes that things looks one way to human eye and other way to search engine. Such is text-hiding, keywords forcing, etc... It is all very old tricks and every search engine can see it in a second... and when they do that, you'll be banned. Sometimes that things comes up accidentally, but you must be aware of it and correct it. There is tools on the internet to find out that errors in the page.

If you like it.. Keep it: I did see various issues with some coding, but I do not have time to supply a method on how to fix this.
