Okay here's my situation. I have a school assignment that due on tuesday. I've known about it for weeks but told myself to forget about it. I need to make a timeline.

I have all the information but I'm graded on my creativity. It has to be a line ... hence the name timeline not like a list or anything. I've decided that a website could be a possibility and an easy way to impress the teacher. I just have no, I repeat NO, idea how i should accomplish this.

I don't need any fancy website. I was thinking I could make the timeline, with all the dates, then if you click a date an image and an explanation will popup... (ajax?) I don't have much time to get this done. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to do this... a tutorial?

it has to be a ----------|-------------------|------|------------------------------------------- with dates everywhere!!!! that is the most important part can be verticle too i guess. I could really use some expertise here. If i can't do this than I'm going to have to like do a scroll or a poster!! Thats not fun...

Oh, and it's only a date (example... 1600)... it's a wide range.
