Hi

I have done a forum search whilst doing so found numerous topics on phpmyadmin and also a topic on the phpmyadmin system being updated etc hopefully soon... I wondered if there was any update news on this please.

I also have the same problem with phpminiadmin and phpmy admin and from reading the posts I believe its a site wide problem not individuals. Also is still here today.

We are creating database and username properly, assigning permissions to the user on that database, but when you try to log into phpminiadmin and even on the main phpmyadmin, it keeps asking you for your dbuname and password repeatedly before locking you out.

I thought I would wait a few more days to see what is what as I know being a webmistress, that these things take a little time to perfect and get right etc. There is no issue with the installing of tables etc when using install.php etc that comes with a script it is when you want to go in to add tables like for example if you want to add Fictioneer to your phpnuke cms etc.

Id like to point out as well that I have wireless broadband connection that has the full speed and that it is not my broadband affecting it as far as I know. I am also putting in the correct details in the log in.

Also thank you for a great hosting site and working hard to keeping it free for us all.

many thanks and best wishes

Hi,

What is your web address? It could well be your database username is too many characters. PHPMiniAdmin should work.

Hi there

Just thought I would let you know that...

OK I tried to get into phpmyadmin on my fiction site to see if I had the same problem on that one as well.

I had to try a few times but this time I actually got in! Yay smile.gif. I will try again on the other one to see if its cleared. It is up and running at least on one site smile.gif

update....

I tried to get into phpmyadmin on the site and it still wouldnt let me in. So I am going to set it up again but shorter name and see if that does make a difference.

Many thanks
