Full Version: Logo Design Cracker :d ?
Zymic Webmaster Forums > Web Design & Development > Graphic Design > 2D Graphics (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc)
Bill Gates
I am taking over a site soon, and i'd like it to be a blog/portfolio for all future projects. And I'd like a logo or image that can go on every one of these future sites, and the main logo for the blog smile.gif . In my head I see the logo to be a cracker, an alive one with eyes mouth nose.. you know "alive". I'd like him to be a techy cracker so maybe have glasses and be at a keyboard? It would be great if it was a vector image if possible. Ooh forgot maybe have below the image.. or next to the image have the word MrCracker.

The blog/portfolio and most future projects will be on the subject of technology. I don't have any design or specific colors set for the site so you have your whole imagination to work with smile.gif . I will base my main site around the logo colors.

I know this is a lot to ask for so if you would be kind enough to donate your time it would be AWSOME! And I would be grateful forever. If not its alright life goes on unsure.gif hunter.gif lol. Also if you have website I would be honored to link you on everyone of my sites biggrin.gif. Thanks
machine
Hmmm... Something like this [below]?

Note: This is a sample/test version. See if this style suits you. If it does, then I'll add the glasses, make some 'cosmetic alterations' and do a 'final' version...
Bill Gates
Now you're a real artist! If it's possible maybe make the body wider? Also I'm not quite sure what the antenna on his head is haha. Otherwise I like it! Now I can't wait to see the "cosmetic alterations" to find out what kind of cracker it is! biggrin.gif

And Thank You!
machine
Yo Bill Gates, looka here:

Dis is da kind of 'cosmetic alterations' I had in mind.

Note: And guess what? While making this graphic, I was amazed to hear Mr Cracker express his sentiments. Although I was too shocked to respond, I do remember that he said something like this: "Antennae? Watch what you're calling an 'antennae' pal, dat's me fuse -- an' it's a real short one..."

What can I say? He intimidated me all right wink.gif
Cmain
By cracker do you mean firework or food?
machine
Cmain, that's a valid question. I don't know either!

@ Bill Gates: If you meant 'foodstuff', then there's this alternative:

Cheers!
Valency
Nice work machine, Good job! smile.gif
machine
@ Valency: Thanks, dude! Let's see what Mr Gates thinks...
Valency
He should be blown away by it, It rocks smile.gif
machine
@ Valency: Yeah, like Limp Bizkit, this biscuit also rocks wink.gif

But seriosuly: thanks a lot smile.gif for the kind words...
Bill Gates
WOW! Thats AMAZING! To tell you the truth I meant cracker food but after seeing that firecracker I can't say no! I'm taking it! I can't believe i never thought of a firecracker lol now you know why I asked about the "Antennae" = fuse haha. Thanks so much!

Edit: Actually now I'm not sure.. they both look so good.. I'm going to have to have a couple people vote on it lol. Looks really good they way it is so this isn't really that necessary but wouldn't you think the cracker would be better if it was this color? http://www.cepolina.com/vrijefoto/f/andere...snack.brood.jpg ?

Once again Thanks so much!
Valency
Your last link doesn't work Bill, Use the edit function to fix this problem smile.gif
Bill Gates
Really? I don't know because when I click on it it works.. hmm...what isn't working?
machine
@ Bill Gates: Glad you like Mr. Cracker [both of 'em!] so much smile.gif

This is Mr. Cracker [biscuit/edible version] in his 2D textured avatar:

Note: I've used the cracker photo you posted as Mr. Cracker's texture.

This is Mr. Cracker [biscuit/edible version] in his 2D shaded avatar:

and this is Mr. Cracker [fireworks version]:

Cheers!

PS: Oh yeah, Mr. Cracker tells me that he would like to thank all the folks for their kind comments/input...
machine
Check this out. All those compliments about Mr. Cracker 'rocking' gave me this idea here:

Yeah, this cracker rocks all right wink.gif .

@ Bill Gates: This is just a test render and is not intended for your logo.
wozzym
nice machine. i think the firework could look good rocking out too cool.gif
machine
@ wozzym: Yeah, I know. But this has a rock/Limp Bizkit connection [cracker=biscuit] and so I thought this was better suited for 'rocking' wink.gif .
iamandy
Ha, they made me laugh! well done
Valency
Hehe, It simply ROCKS! biggrin.gif
This is machine at his best once again, Just shows you still have a sense of humour at your old age ;-)
@ Bill Gates: Link is fixed. No problem now

Regards, Valency.
Jack

Bill Gates

harsh?

Anyways this is awsome thanks so much for putting in so much of your time into this! And thanks for all the input from everyone else. Can't wait to start this site!

Oooh ooh got another idea! Wouldn't it be awesome if the cracker was smoking a pipe!!! psyche!!! laugh.gif tongue.gif biggrin.gif
machine
Yo Bill! Here's mister cracker smoking a mean cigar, which I felt goes better with his 'tough-guy' attitude [see his responses on the previous page]...

Putting in time was no problem -- You see, I'll be using the 'Biscuit rockstar' graphic as a wallpaper for my site's next update wink.gif . So as you can see, I benefit from helping folks out @ the forum -- it helps me maintain 'creative diversity' and folks here have enough imagination to come up with different kinds of fun stuff for me to do... smile.gif

@ Valency: Thanks, mate wink.gif

@ Bill Gates: No. It's a compliment. But please spare a kind thought for the people in the business of creating comic book characters/toys or directing videos/sci-fi films/animated shows or designing games -- stuff that's so popular with kids these days -- many of whom are older than I am... laugh.gif

And thanks once again, for all your comments. smile.gif
Jacob
Nice work Machine. You are quite a talented artist.
Do you work as a designer?

Jacob.
bezz
Good job Machine, but for the record, limp bizkit does not rock.
machine
@ Bezz, NaRzY: Thanks smile.gif .

@ Bezz: About Limp Bizkit -- Well, it's really a matter of personal taste. I've heard two of their discs -- significant other and chocolate starfish & the hot dog flavored water -- and I like Durst, Lethal and Co.'s music, regardless of the way it is categorised -- nu rock, hip hop/rock crossover... whatever smile.gif

They seem to be a band with a sense of humour -- that outro of theirs on chocolate starfish et al, where that guy goes, "Did you go to school with DJ Lethal, Fred? And did they call him DJ Lethal when he was a kid?" and that bit where he says "I'm totally limpin' with the biscuit, man!" seems to indicate that the band can take negative attitude towards them use it to their advantage, even if it is to get a few laughs -- it's a trait I admire.

But of course, if you compare them to the headbanging Gods of the NWBHM [New Wave of British Heavy Metal] like Priest, Maiden [by the way, is that a Bring Your Daughter... graphic in your forum avatar? Nice idea!] and their distinguished predecessors ["the Old Gods", as I call them] like Zeppelin, Purple and Sabbath, then it's a different story...
Bill Gates
Amazing!.. now that brings it down to 2 I have to choose from lol.
machine
Note: My computer has 'kicked the bucket'. It was acting weak and comatose since last night, but this morning it has sort of, 'stopped breathing' altogether dry.gif . So you'll not see me around till Mr. Computer is revived mellow.gif .

@ Bill Gates: Luckily, Bill, I could salvage some stuff last night itself. These are two graphics of Mr Cracker with that pipe that you mentioned in your post above.

Cheers!

Great work Machine smile.gif
Bill Gates
Oh boy! You were right.. a cigar looks way more badass lol. looks great!

That must stink about your computer.. i experienced something similar couple months ago.. it isn't fun trying to get all that data back..
machine
@ Bill Gates: I completely forgot to put glasses on Mister Cracker tongue.gif .

Now given the shape of his face, I felt that he'd look good wearing a toon version of glasses known as Pince Nez. Here's a sample image:

Click the image [above] to download a zipped file containing the other versions [the two different Mister Creackers wearing glasses, with - and without - the cigar].

Note: Clicking the image [above] will take you to an online file storage site/page where the zipped file is stored. You can then click on the 'Download File' button to download it.

That's it. Let's not stretch this thread any further wink.gif . And all the best with your site[s] smile.gif .

Cheers!
Bill Gates
haha i forgot about the glasses too. well that makes him look geeky enough! lol. it looks great. I'll probablly end up using the cracker-glasses-cig for the site smile.gif Once again thanks so much!
Valency
Machine at his best once again ^
Good work Machine.

Regards, Valency.
BigBCC
