im having the same problem with myk i recently installed joomla. i was able to fix the permission problem on some folders but im stuck with Session save path Unwriteable, tried editing htaccess but to no avail.

It's a false positive, it is writable, but the 'is_writable' reports false under safe mode... in lay man terms, continue like RedBOX said.

i was able to finish the installation, the site is up and running but with i cannot add any components or modules i always get this "ERROR: Could not find an XML setup file in the package." any suggestions? tenks for the help
