I am looking for a 3D artist who can create a 3D image of myself and others to what I wish it to be.
I want to basically be me and then on what looks like light coming from the ground up towards me whilst spinning around.
Can anyone do it?

Dude, what you're looking for is a major, time-consuming project.

It requires photos of your face taken from several angles, matching the features of your face [from those photos] to a 3D mesh through sculpting/modeling. Naturally, this involves 'building' your hair [and everything else] in 3D. This process has to be repeated step-by-step for all "the others" that you mention in your post.

Anything less than that [that is, if you just use a photo of your face as a texture map and so on] and the model will look very artificial and unreal up close.

As I said, it's a lenghty, effort-intensive process, usually undertaken for major videos, games and films. I'd advise you to use a normal photo of yourself and modify it Photoshop and then add some animated FX -- it'd be faster and simpler...

Cheers!

Will also be cheaper ^^ ;-)

Thanks for the information guys.

or you could download a something like anim8tor and try it yourself...would be very tricky as machine said though.
Jacob
I need it to look pretty professional though. So attempts by me (at this stage anyways) are out of the question.
Thanks anyways.

For a project such as that, people will charge you hundreds of dollars. Although you are my friend, I would still charge you a few hundred dollars for the reason machine stated. Generally I would just play around with Maya and practice. Once you get good enough, try to test yourself and make one based on your picture. Or you could save time and 3d vector yourself.

It was originally for a company. It was a bmx/motocross promotion which I wasn't paying for, it was going to be the company that sponsored me that would be paying. The only catch is you would have about 10 of them to do. Offer is still there if anyone wants to give me something in writing to take to them.

Poser has a built-in function to be able to make a texture from your images and apply them to a 3d-model(also changes the shape of the 3d model based on the pics).. It worked in a tutorial i saw.. but not in my photos.. >__>

Wouldn't it be easier to do this with some camera trick plus maybe some 3D software along with a video editor.
Jacob
That's why I sought out information here with our resident experts. I am going to attempt it soon with Poser, 3DsMax and some other editing softwares I have laying around.

Um, what's the budget for this project? Let me know if possible, okay? smile.gif
