Whats up. I need some help on a website I am designing for one of my friends. They want the site to be like Zwinky, but they want it to be more realistic. I am needing help with the scripts, but really do not know exactly where to start on this project. If you could help me please, it would be a great blessing. The design will be like the sims, where they have there own jobs, but you have to go to work with them, instead of sitting at the home and waiting for them to get off. If you know of anywhere or anyone that could help, it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not much of a developer so correct me if I am wrong.

I'm assuming you know how to code... so first I think you should decide how you want to build the site... and the avatar maker. You'd need something more than PHP for the avatar maker since you don't want to reload the screen everytime you add/change/remove/create a feature. But once that's chosen... I think you'd have to make the avatars... each of their features and accessories, etc.

If you need help building the script look around at what options would be the best. Maybe in flash? Ajax? Then find some scripts similar... or be innovative with it. Is it going to be browser based?? If so that could be made in PHP... there are tons of browser based rpg's (open source?) so you could look at how they're made and try to make something similar.
