Well I'm one of those designers who enjoys changing the layout of their website once in a while. I noticed that I didn't change the layout in about a year and decided to change the layout. The current layout can be viewed at http://sazzadhossain.info/home.html
I used a blue theme idea and included wireframe menu idea into it. I redesigned it after being inspired by one of my good friends at http://webdesignerforum.co.uk who designed a template with similar color scheme. Please tell me what you think of this new layout as I intend to finish coding it and making it my default web layout.

This new site will be coded fully in valid XHTML, CSS and PHP. The php items will be includes function

First layout:

Yellow outer glow + blue text = Fail.

work on the banner image abit.

also, theres afew positioning problems with the layout on IE7

Second layout:

Abit too much Brown going on. Mix other colours with it. I also can't really make on the text on the header image.

I'm not really the sort of person to Judge on markup and what not, so i'll leave that to Alex tongue.gif

Ah thanks for your comments, I actually wanted to make it all brownish. I really wasn't looking for feedback on the first layout. Only which one is liked better the first or the second.

i'd prefer the brown one.. if the header image text was more clear

I like the brown one the most, looks more professional.

Well I'm almost done with the general php coding and I was thinking, should I incorporate some javascript for the splash page? I have a very nice script that I really want to test out.
llamafier
Personally, I dislike unnecessary JS. I wouldn't do it.
