Full Version: [hosting] We Are A Web Host, Not A File Host.

Hello,

There has been rapid increase in disk-usage due to people abusing our service. We are NOT a file host, we are a web host; there is a difference. We don't mind you hosting files providing you have a developed website to go alongside. If you just use us as a file dump, e.g. for hot-linking, posting files on forums, or even uploading warez you are not wanted on our servers.

If you want to upload files only use a file host:
http://megaupload.com
http://rapidshare.com
...

Thanks for your understanding.

does the proxy error that we experience includes with error you talk about jack?

Issue has been resolved earlier than I thought. I have changed topic title and the original post to reflect our stance on file hosting.

No need to pay for hosting, there are plenty of Free File hosting sites.
Here are a few I have found. But USE THESE instead of Zymic hosting. It's for everyones sake.

You can upload about 140 different formats. There's even support for .RAR and .ZIP-archives! If you upload an archive with multiple images, you'll also get an album-address for all the pictures inside of it. Max file upload size is 100MB.

Those are just four of the better ones, but also don't forget Rapidshare and Megaupload. The two most popular ones. Also the information under the links I just copied from their sites, check their FAQ for more information.
