Are there any suggestions/opinions on Joomla 1.0 vs 1.5 for somebody (me) who is brand new to Joomla? EASIEST is BEST for me.

The purpose of one project is a small biz site with a store and a blog, plus a number of the widget goodie thingies that can be plugged in. Another project is for a church that is heavy into event calendars and being able to sign-up for events that are listed on those calendars, plus some way to offer listening to/downloading sermons.

Normally I would just go at these with a template like we can find here at Zymic, but these two projects afford me some time and I'd like to see what I can produce with something different.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Or use [OpenSourceCMS] is a great tool for finding out about the features and you can try before you download!

Thanks for the resource pointers, guys. I appreciate it. The thread you gave me, Crown, is really just people commenting on what EMO put up on the test server and what is technically supported here. Narzy, that link is a cool one, too - I had compared features before I posted here.

I guess what I was hoping for were opinions from those of you with hands-on with either/both versions. The resources above are great, but they don't say anything about peoples' experiences with ease of installation/use/productivity and such.

Have you decided on any yet?

....hmm.. I think, hmm.. if I'm reading above correctly, it looks like there aren't any opinions about it that have been offered. maybe I ought to re-read my posts. Plus, nope, I haven't decided. blink.gif
