help me wat im going to do....
i download a compatible SMF v1.1.5 mod the when i apply it, it givs me

Some of the files the package manager needs to modify are not writable. This needs to be changed by logging into FTP and using it to chmod or create the files and folders. Your FTP information may be temporarily cached for proper operation of the package manager.

and i already fill up it with a tru user name and pass but nothings happened when i submit
help me......

ill report to SMF forum but they said

are you aware none of the mods you have installed, are actually installed?
something about your server, contact your host and get your permissions squared away, there all over the place.
none of your mods are installed, they just appear to be.

cause its appear to be install even if they not......

please help me in my problem!!!!!!

i have a correct login and im sure with that......
i post this problem in SMF forum and they try it already they said contact my host and get my permission squared away
i cant even understand they saying but they cant help me cause they said this error is coming in my host but the admin didnt reply in my post T_T

@Santam: Stop hi-jacking threads!!!

1. Make sure your FTP info is correct.
2. Install a fresh SMF on your hosting and see if you still have a problem.

@SANTAM: There is a known FTP login authentication error with certain hosting accounts at the moment, this is being fixed.

ya my smf s working..

but until now i cant instal mods on my smf forum.?

Do they need to have safe mode on?
