Hello all,

Firstly, the past week has been a very unstable week, with FTP problems (some users can't login, some can't upload or edit), drive problems (PHP drive is returning disk full etc), and we have been aware with all of the problems which have occurred.

Our current platform simply can't cope with the current demand of close to 1000 hosting accounts per day, so instead we are upgrading to a new platform which will fix ALL problems and improve the speed of your web pages. We have just ordered 7 new web servers, however of course there is a catch; we have to move all websites to our new platform and servers.

We are currently working out on specific dates, but our plan is as follows:
1) Transfer .zymichost.com accounts to new server (we will do this first as these accounts are on our root drive)
2) Enable signups to a new server and new subdomain option. Update 2nd June: We have secured the website.sl domain name and are installing the new server now. New registrations will be enabled within 3 days. This will mean by then new accounts for this new domain will be on the new platform/server and things will work/be faster.
3) Transfer all other subdomains; .zxq.net, .zzl.org, .99k.org, .clanteam.com
4) Release control panel 2.0

We hope to enable signups within 5 days from now. We hope to transfer all websites within 12 days, however once we finalize our plan with our admins, the specific dates will be listed here.

The new server cluster will enable us to continually grow without any problems, once a server gets busy, we can add a new one to the cluster within 24 hours, whereas due to the complexity of our current system, this would not be possible, thus the cause of these problems lately.

We will try to ensure minimal downtime in the transfer process, however, there is always going to be downtime. If you run a popular website, or are opening a potential popular website within the next 3 weeks, I'm afraid it may be best to host elsewhere to avoid downtime, however we assure you no data is going to be lost, but there will be hours of downtime.

So, this would be why I can't login to FTP at all? I first was able to connect but it failed for some odd reason when it sent the password, now it won't connect at all (That might just be me). I also tried changing the password and it said it could not be done.

Ok the FTP problem; its not accepting your password right? This is directed at Scared/Machine ...

It's not accepting the password and I'm not sure if it got changed or messed up somehow.

@ Jack: Yep, it's not accepting my password, and the message I get from FileZilla is exactly the same as the one Sacred posted above.



I tried uploading via the ZCP, but that was not possible either -- got an 'error uploading file' message .

Is this FTP problem part of the whole server upgrading thing, or could it be sorted out earlier? It'd be terrific if it could be sorted out earlier

No need to post those info I think, since Jack is aware of the problem and already informed it's being worked on. I'm currently experiencing some really slow response from the hosting itself, I hope that get's resolved soon, but I'm not leaving for any reason unless zymic going down forever and i'm forced to

EDIT: Not working for me to, I use username: eclipse, eclipse@zymic.com and eclipse@zymichost.com and it all accepts, just not the pass, in the uploading page at account management it says to use username eclipse, yet that didn't work so I tried a few ^^

use the build in uploader? Think that works.

Login to Zymic, go to 'My Account Mangement' and click on login on (one of) your site, thn log in (ofcourse).
Next go to 'File Manager' and upload your files. You can only upload 3 files at a time, but it's something

So that's why. I'll be waiting for it then. Hope that the waiting time will be as minimal as possible. Before I sign up here, I was picking from x10 and 00webhost. I've bumped into Zymic and without second thought, I chose this webhost. I hope my patience can wait.

Well i've just about had it with this zymic team. Its been nothing but problems since i signed up, slow and incomplete loading of the webpage, and now i can't even connect to update for over a week now. Thats it, i'm done with this, i've already payed a simple $5 to a host and my websites load 20x faster than on this zymic host.

They never said it was fixed. He said within that things should be in motion within a week. If you re-read the original post, you will see this. Just be patient, or move to another host (temporarily or permanently like the guy who posted above you)

I'm experiencing exactly the same problem for over a week now

Updated topic with regards to new user registrations, sorry for slight delay, our datacenter company ran out of new switches. As for transfer of existing sites, we are still working out a plan as this is a very complex task, we hope to initiate the transfer for the first subdomain (zymichost) within 7 days.

This explains why we keep losing the site pages etc on clicking the link etc and its bad today.

Our site is staying right here. We are happy with the hosting and this is a short price to pay for excellent free hosting and faster servers.

Wish I could help with installation but afraid my php knowledge is limited.

Have we been moved to the new servers yet? Everything seems to have gone very quiet and my web site is loading so very slowly I can only imagine nothing has changed yet?

Yeah, I'm having the same problem too . Site seems to load rather slowly and sometimes it gives a proxy error message...

Any news on the transfer? I was hoping to see a difference in speed which I haven't. I presume that the transfer hasn't taken place yet or is on going. A bit of a heads up on time lines would be useful?

why can't I acces my site?

Is there a reason for constant downtime, or LONG loading times? I usually cannot get to the forum I made, and neither can the people I want to use it. Its usually down or takes a very long time to load. Any reason for this?

My website seems to be down, and on the openDNS server is stays that the systems running the *.zzl sites are down. Is this true? And if so, will it be fixed soon.
