I am trying to use a photo gallery called Plogger to integrate into a photography website. Within the software you need to creat albums but it is not allowing me to do it because of the safe mode being enabled in PHP. Does anyone know a way around this? The error I get is:

Warning: mkdir() [function.mkdir]: SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 65535 is not allowed to access XXX owned by uid XXX in XXX-admin-functions.php on line 880

I've got the same problem, with my photogallery too. I'm using, gallery2 rolleyes.gif

Warning: putenv() [function.putenv]: Safe Mode warning: Cannot set environment variable 'LANG'

Safe mode will remain on because of security implications. I am not aware of any way around this for function.mkdir @Vultch.

Safe mode will never be turned off due to security reasons.

yes im afraid most photo album php scripts do not work due to safemode being on. but i would suggest looking at http://emotest.zzl.org there you can see which scripts work, and see if there is a photo album one available smile.gif
