Hello,
I have decided to setup a special group to give those of you who have helped continually during the time we have been offering services such as web hosting a special badge/user-image to show some appreciation.
I have only given this badge to 3 or 4 people, however I have missed out a lot of people who deserve some recognition so please post here if you feel you deserve to be in this special group.
Once again thanks for helping out and withstanding being annoyed at those annoying questions from time to time

Does this include people who help members out with their sites -- like designing and stuff and/or pointing them to helpful sites and the like?

Good idea. It should make people listen to the advice given instead of demanding that an admin helps them all the time.

Hmm I could change the badge to "Community Helper, Trusted Member" instead, probably will fit best anyway. I'll do that later today.

It was meant to be for people who helped out on web hosting topics, not design or graphics, but yeah

Just a bit confused, do you get any special privilege with teh badge or is it for coolness? Btw when does your vacation start Jack, haven't seen much activity on the "templates" section.

Just a thought...May be this group should be able to do simple moderation of posts and threads (edit, merge, delete, etc) so that we can help "clean up" the forum? Good idea in my opinion.
Jacob.

Thats what moderators and admins do.

Why is it that we have many topics still open that should be closed because the problem was fixed or resolved?
In my opinion, Administrators are more server side. Moderators should be client side but unfortunately they are missing posts and threads and so on that are very useless to anyone accept the original poster.
Oh well, just my 2 cents.
Jacob.

To solve that problem, they could get the IPB pluging so in the options you click "Mark As Resolved" like vbforums has.

May be the Community Helpers Group should have a look around for a simple, yet free version of this?
Jacob.

There is a free mod for this was used on cruels.net, ill ask where he got it from if you want.
Edit: Only if the Admins want it or can't find it. It might not even be a mod could just be in settings but i know you can do it.
