Time of Sprites
At morning I tried to enter the Forum at http://timesprites.zzl.org, and it showed me this:

CODE
Error General
Unable to remove files within ./cache/. Please check directory permissions.

I checked the cache directory but all permissions are On. Some help?

Are you all acctully CHMOD.. the folder CACHE 777 permisions ?
MrTouz
If everybody is having the same problem at the same time it can only be server side problems... i think zymic staff should look.

As for cahce on phpbb3 :
its inside
It was meant so your forums loads faster, each time you change the layout (coding / images) well anything inside /style folder you will need to empty your cache.

If you have access to FTP inside your zymic account, you can try DELETING the cache via the FTP instead of the ACP, it should clear it, it might work.

Yes already it has been set to 777.

Suppose if we try to set it to 755 or any, the response we getting is
CODE
Command:    SITE CHMOD 755 cache
Response:    550 Could not change perms on cache: Read-only file system

We can't change the permissions now and also we can't delete any files. When i was trying to delete the files inside the cache directory,
CODE
Command:    DELE data_active_users.php
Response:    550 Could not delete data_active_users.php: Read-only file system

Please see the FTP sticky.

The admins are aware of this issue, check the announcements/join the IRC chat for updates on the problem.

Ok thank you. I have that problem now too...but that's better then my problem before...

which is it couldn't get my index.php from the server. So that's much better, it's getting it...but now there are read problems. =]

Thanks zymic for working so hard! biggrin.gif I'm being patient.
Paradoks
Make sure The CHMODD is at 7,7,7 (All read write and executes are ticked) If that doesnt solve the problem (Which it should) Contact an administrator
deepthought
Yep, same here and I tried to solve the problem via ftp with no success. It appears to be a hosting issue thankfully and not a general collapse of my site.

Thanks for working on this Zymic. I appreciate it.
Paradoks
Yeah deepthought the problem should be resolved as soon as the administrators as zymic finish it. and they get ontop of thigns fast so it should be fixed asap.

K, if everyone is getting the same problem, I should probably not mess with anything until a solution is found??
Kurisuellegarden

Error.

Deleting the cache files doesn't work at all. And my Forums (PHPBB Forums) are down because of this. I've searched and searched but can't find any solutions.

Is it a Problem here at Zymic?

Also, the permissions are set to 777 on the "Cache" Directory.
aussiemcgr
ya i think all the phpBB3 forums are getting the issue
Dave
Please note that the vndv hard drive has gone into read-only which is why your forums are not working.

Please be patient while the admins fix this and check the announcements forum or live irc chat for updates.
