I like it, only thing i'd change is the (register : forgot PW) is too close to the login box, but thats all html changes anyways.

I think the blue font on grey is far too over powering... perhaps adopt a different colour scheme?

I like the blue in your header image [to me that shade suggests something like electricity]. Maybe you could change the gray to something else, because it makes the site looks a little bland. However, colours appeal differently to different people and ultimately, it's your personal taste that dictates colour usage...

Also, although the blue in your header image is nice, the image itself is rather abstract -- perhaps you could use a image that better represents your site's content/concept?

And it should be "communities"...

I was thinking if it'd look good if you visually represented communities by a bunch of LEGO men and women -- they are cute, shiny and would look neat bunched together, or in a line or group perhaps...
