Ive been trying to get google to verify my sitemap and it keeps giving me this.....


We've detected that your 404 (file not found) error page returns a status of 200 (Success) in the header.



using the html file way of verification.....I also have metatags too...what could be the problem?

can we see the page your trying to verify?

well I suggest as I know to creat new *******.html file as the one you try to verifying then make it with chmod as 777 to let the google see it and after you do this I think it's work fine. if you did this and nothing work with you I suggest to make sure about the site URL you try to verify.
