Hey guys,

okay, lets hit the main problem first.

I have installed joomla onto my webspace and I am trying to install it but everything runs perfectly until I try to fill my information in for my database U/N and P/W.

it always says that it is incorrect.

I have a VNDV.com domain and I don't know if this might be the problem.

NEXT PROBLEM

I wanted to log onto IRC and it says that I am banned. I have not been onto the chat for about 2 weeks now and I don't know why I would be banned when my last conversation was perfectly fine.

I know many people have problems with the new sub-domain, but I am grateful that I can get free hosting.

Can anyone help me with this...

Kind Regards

Can you please give your site address as outlined in the rules.

Have you created a database/username and applied user privileges?
If so what is your database username as there is a bug with the length at the moment.

As far as IRC goes, you are most likely not banned this is a common problem with ISP IPs being blacklisted. Please can you paste the exact error you get when you try to connect to zymic IRC.

In the meantime, the mibbit IRC client will work if you need to get on there.

My site address is mystictemplars.vndv.com

The site is still in its installation phase..

I have created a username and password for the MySQL and added it properly to the required fields, but it still says that it is incorrect...

I deleted the old one and created a shorter one and it still gives the same problem...

what could be wrong...? I know I am not doing anything wrong... or am I?

What exactly are you putting in for database information? (give everything except your password)

What error message do you actually get? Can you provide a screen shot or more information so we can work out what the problem is.

EDIT: Until the username length bug is fixed (and because of the length of your site name), you will only be able to have a single character as a username (e.g. mystictemplars_a) if you want it to work. Alternatively, wait for the fix.

I found the problem...

It was the username that was errored as I presume that is was to long.

Once again Davey, you have saved the day and thank you kindly...

Go well and keep up the fantastic job...
