Hi guys,

I'm using SWiSHmax flash editor for a while and it looks very handy tool... It has many "ready to use" staff such is almost 200 different effects to apply, easy to use time-line, exporting .swf files is easy too and compatible with every flash player, but the best thing is very easy to apply many pre-defined or half-defined scripts which controls flash object... From my experience it is easier to use, or to correct my self, it is much easier to learn how to use this software instead Macromedia MX or Flash 8 which are really complex and complicated... The final results are always the same, I mean exported flash files are always flash files! I heard many time people spits on SWiSHmax and praises Macromedia, but I really don't know why is SWiSHmax so bad software?!
I'd like to heard somebody, what's really possible to do with Macromedia and not possible to do with SWiSHmax??? mellow.gif

I have used SwishMax and Flash and they are two completely different things.

Yes it is Jacob, that's what I said at first...
They are two different flash editors, one a little bit easier, the other a little bit complicated, but both exports exactly the same .swf files as a final product, each compatible with any kind of flash players. I've start using first Macromedia MX and it was very hard to learn, or even get familiar with it. After a while I come across accidentally on SWISHmax and I've noticed facility of that software immediately. Just a few weeks later I've done my first flash site. It wasn't such a great website, but it was made in a hurry because I was impatient to see it done. Little by little I perceived full capacity of 'em, and It is really capable to do absolutely nice things...

Please take a look this website, and tell me your opinion. I'll appreciate that! Thanx!

I havn't used either but my opinion of the site you gave is it's very nice. Looks very professional and if you did that with swishmax then I don't think there is any reason to pay the big bucks to get macromedia, as swishmax seems to work well for you.
Snooper
Yeah... Thanx, man...
Maybe just a photos aren't done fully professional, but I think even that looks ok, seems it is a hand-made products which are offered on the site.

Many people tried to convince me that SWISHmax is just a garbage compared to the Macromedia Flash, and if I want to do a serious things than I'll had to buy and learn Macromedia Flash. But I prove it that is possible even with SWISHmax do a serious things... Now when I learned it completely, I'd like to know what's really possible to do with Macromedia Flash, and not with SWISHmax?! Why people spitting so gladly on this software?

Ok, at some point I could admit, Macromedia Flash might be more professional, it might be father of all flash editors, but even SWISHmax is capable to do same things... So, my question remains: WHY people spits on SWISHmax, and praises Macromedia Flash... I'd like to know WHY???

I haven't used Swishmax, but I have used the old Swish software. I thought it had good potential to develop into a worthy Flash editing application. I'm glad [from the site example you posted] that it has evolved into an app that can generate complete Flash sites. Personally, I'm more concerned with the end result -- if it looks okay and works the way you want it to then why bother about what app was used to build/create it? smile.gif

But I'm guessing that Flash offers more flexiblity and editing power. It'd be best if you ask bezz this question -- he's the Flash expert around here...
