Please forgive me if any of these questions seem obvious, or if I have missed them while browsing through other frequently asked questions. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not exactly a "techie" - I'm certainly no match for the brains and expertise found on this forum!
I am trying to install a PHP Autoresponder Script (Autoresponse Plus) on my free hosting account (achievewithadam.vndv.com) and in the installation instructions, I am instructed to find all of the following information before proceeding
QUOTE
Before you begin
1. You will need a copy of the AutoResponse Plus zip file (arplus.zip). (Done!)
2. You will need unzipping software such as WinZip. (Done!)
3. You will need an FTP client such as WS_FTP or CuteFTP. (Done!)
4. If your web server allows telnet access, you will need a telnet client such as telnet.exe supplied with Windows. (Does this apply to my free hosting account?)
5. You need to know the path to Perl on your web server. This is usually #!/usr/bin/perl. If you are unsure, contact your host's support desk. (I need some help with this one!)
6. You need to know the path to the sendmail program on your web server. This is usually something like /usr/sbin/sendmail but is different on every server. Contact your host's support desk for this. (I need some guidance with this!)
7. All e-mails sent to your domain need to be forwarded to your main login account. Speak to your host's support desk about setting this up. (I am assuming this is referring to my username on the free hosting server, but perhaps I am incorrect?)

So again, my questions are in regards to:
1) If "telnet" access is relevant to this hosting server
2) Where to find the path for Perl on the server
3) Locating the path for Sendmail
4) What exactly the "main login account" for forwarding e-mails refers to, and how to activate it if necessary
Again, I do apologize if these seem like very novice questions or if someone has already asked them in the past...but I'd certainly love any advice and information from all the tech-proficient individuals on this forum!
Thanks very much
Adam
