Don't signup with a Hotmail or Yahoo email address - April 8th, 2008 11:07 AM
Hello,
Since the server move Hotmail and Yahoo have decided to start rejecting emails from our server. Please use another provider such as Gmail or even Mailinator (requires no signup, takes 2 seconds to generate an email address) for now.
This is a problem with their system, not ours. Since we changed servers, our IP changed too, and so now their spam system is blocking our service. We have correct SPF records, correct rDNS and all of that lark, but they are still being incredibly picky with us. Hotmail's postmaster seem to reply with an automated response every time I contact them, telling us to read their guidelines and signup to their anti-spam systems, in which I have done, yet the problem still isn't sorted; its like talking to a robot. Yahoo on the other hand haven't even responded as "due to technical problems responses can take over 7 days".
Honestly, you're betting off using Gmail, its so much more superior than Yahoo or Hotmail; those providers are simply living in the past.
We are however thinking about disabling email activation for Hotmail/Yahoo users or offloading our email to a server which works with these providers.
If anyone else has had this problem, I would love to know if there are any solutions to speed up this process, so please email me at admin@zymic.com :)
Thanks
