Hosting downtime resolved - May 26th, 2008 9:31 PM
We endured a painful downtime period today, certainly one of our worst. Core system files got corrupted and we could not start services (e.g. httpd, ftpd) after a restart and had to wait patiently until one of our admins uploaded the required patches and files. We're happy to say hosting is back to normal, and you can also register new accounts.
We are also working on an idea for a new hosting platform with a lot of new features. We will begin testing this platform to the public within 30 days, the new platform will also include a brand new control panel with the features our members have requested during the course of our service (I can happily say the design is complete and is ready to be implemented). Once the new platform opens, it will only be available to new members, due to technicalities it is not possible to transfer our existing 100,000 websites to the new platform straight away, but rest assured this will happen when we our confident the new platform is as stable as it can be.
Once again sorry about the downtime earlier today, as always ask your questions in our forum or join our Live Chat.
