Add a popular diagonal line pattern to your images and graphics.

Step 1

Start off by making a new document, 3 x 3 pixels with a transparent background.

Select the pencil tool, zoom in as close up as you can and draw 3 pixel dots like below:

Now go to [edit > define pattern]. This makes the pattern saved.

Step 3

Now open up the image you want to add the pattern to and select the paint bucket tool.

At the top of your screen change the options to the below settings:

Step 4

Make a new layer and click anywhere on your image/graphic with the paint bucket tool selected. Your graphic/image should have a diagonal pattern added on top of it. It may look too dark. If so, change the layers opacity to a lower %.
