im struggling with this on a mac, get stuck at step 3. I assume that instead of ctrl, CMD is used, but modify is greyed out under the select menu. Any ideas?

you probably download and install (copy in to control panel) the font first http://www.dafont.com/font.php?file=danube. Anyway, great idea, the color is lovable

Guys click ctrl and then click on the picture by the text in the layer pallete. Like you know first goes a little picture then the name of the layer. Click on the little picture
