Learn how to create a very cool effect using only a few filters.
Step 1
First we need to do my colour burst tutorial, follow the steps below:
Make a new document 600 x 600 pixels with a white bg.
Press D and X on your keyboard to reset the colours.
Make a new layer
[ Layer > New Layer ] and then go to:
[ Filter > Render > Clouds ]
Next go to [ Filter > Blur > Radial Blur ]
Use these settings:
Amout = 100
Blur Method = Zoom
Quality = Best
Step 2
Now go to [ Filter > Pixelate > Mezzotint ] and select long lines from the drop down box and press ok.
Now we need to Radial Blur it again, go to:
[ Filter > Blur > Radial Blur ] And press OK.
Your result should look like something below:
Step 3
This is the good bit, go to [ Filter > Sketch > Chrome ]and use these settings:
Detail = 4
Smoothness = 7
Step 4
For the last step we need to give it a bit of colour, Press CTRL+U to bring up the Hue/Saturation options. Check Colourize and then choose your colours, then you should be finished. I then added my own touches, text etc.
