Create a unique photo effect which literally takes 5 secs.
Step 1
In this tutorial you will learn how simple it is to create unique artistic effects
using the powers of the "Overlay" mode and transformation.
First open your photo or any image. I used a picture of an island, I can't take
credit but I sure wouldn't mind being on that island right now! The image is a
free stock photo from www.spoonloads.com.
Click all images in this tutorial to enlarge.
Step 2
Now duplicate the layer, to duplicate simply drag the layer (in layers pallet)
into the new layer icon, OR go to [ Layer > Duplicate Layer ...].
Now we need to rotate the photo, to do so go to [ Edit > Rotate Canvas >
Horizontal ].
Simply then set the mode of the layer to overlay (top of layers pallet).
Step 3
Okay, that literally took 5 seconds and produces a rather neat effect. It works good on many photos and you can test various rotations by just duplicating.
